- Snaps a stray
- Names it Zaira
A neighbourhood app for stray cats
Connect with cats on your
street.
Snap a stray and name it
If someone finds the same cat, agree on one name together!
The problem
Nobody knows how many stray cats live in Greece.
That gap is the whole story. You can’t neuter, treat or protect animals nobody has counted - and the only people who know which cat lives on which corner are the neighbours who feed it every evening.
National Companion Animal Registry, June 2025, via CNN Greece and ECOPRESS. The three-million estimate covers cats and dogs and has never been officially verified.

Koumbaroi
2+ strangers, one cat, one name.
At a Greek baptism, the godparent and the baby’s parents form a bond for life. In CatsMe, the people who agree on a cat’s name share that same bond.

Where we’re going
Goal 1: Every cat has a name
Each stray gets its own page, so neighbours can find it and keep track of it.
Goal 2: Neighbours work together
Everyone feeding the same cat is connected, so care is shared instead of repeated.
Goal 3: Help reaches cats in time
Find a charity near you in the app and give on their own page. We take no cut.
